The Kokomo Howard County Public Library is about so much more than just books. The library’s three branches have Wi-Fi access, public computers, an array of programs and events, and all sorts of digital and physical materials.
It is the first library in Indiana to create a Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Located at the Russiaville Branch, the space has areas for climbing, building, music, art and a zone to get messy.
The library regularly hosts innovative programs, classes and events for all ages. The library’s Experience Kits, book clubs, take-and-make kits and events provide fun, accessible ways to enjoy the library, and their online resources make it easy to read, watch, listen and learn on your own time.
The library’s main branch, found downtown at 220 N. Union St., is home to the Digital Den. The Digital Den offers resources like 3D printers, a Cricut Maker, the full Adobe Creative Suite, video and podcast equipment and more. Library patrons can use most of these resources for free while visiting during the Digital Den’s open hours, helping you make your creative projects a reality.
