A FOURTH OF JULY BLOCK PARTY IN DOWTOWN KOKOMO

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a special Independence Day edition of First Friday in Downtown Kokomo … on Saturday!

Join us around the Courthouse Square from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 for an afternoon of patriotic fun featuring local vendors, shopping, art, community activities, food, and more. Many downtown businesses and restaurants will be open throughout the event, making it the perfect opportunity to spend your holiday in the heart of Kokomo.

Whether you’re looking for family-friendly activities, unique local shopping, or simply a place to celebrate with friends and neighbors, Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights brings the community together for a classic hometown Fourth of July experience.

MAKE A DAY OF IT

The fun doesn’t stop when First Friday ends. July 4 is packed with activities across Kokomo as the community celebrates America’s 250th anniversary.

START WITH DESSERT!

Before heading downtown, stop by the Seiberling Mansion between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the Howard County Historical Society’s annual Ice Cream Social. Enjoy free ice cream, tour the mansion, and celebrate Independence Day with family and friends.

HONOR LOCAL VETERANS

At 4 p.m., immediately following Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights, the community will gather for the America 250 Celebration Walk from downtown to Kokomo Municipal Stadium. Community members are encouraged to join the walk or line the route in support of the veterans and community members being honored.

BASEBALL AND FIREWORKS

Keep the celebration going at Kokomo Municipal Stadium as the Kokomo Creek Chubs host a special Fourth of July game beginning at 6:20 p.m.

The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks show following the game. Community members without game tickets will be admitted to the stadium for fireworks viewing beginning no earlier than 9:45 p.m.
