In October 2017, our unemployment rate fell to 3.6 percent, which is the lowest reported since 2001 and a rate equal to the state and below national levels — and our workforce is growing.

The Kokomo Metropolitan Statistical Area was ranked as first in the nation for manufacturing presence, productivity, and strength by Industry Week magazine. Our local Fiat Chrysler Automobile plants regularly receive awards and designations for their efforts.
